Too Tired to not Laugh

We got back to the hotel at eight after a long demanding day and all I wanted to do was take a warm shower, brush my teeth and head to bed. We did not eat enough today though so everyone planned on heading to the restaurant. My shoes were muddy, clothes wet and hair sweaty so I had a quick shower and changed into some fresh clothes before heading down. The group slowly began to arrive at our regular table but I could tell that I wasn't the only one ready for bed.

As soon as the gate was opened to let our three cars into the courtyard, we were already getting it. Some students who were playing volleyball in the play area slowed and started to glance over. Students in the classrooms were peering through the windows. Older students smiled, younger students were confused with some even shy.

The heat was getting close to unbearable. It had been much worse than I was used to in India but this was undoubtedly the most out of the three days. We were at the Riverside School, which was a school in Ahmadabad we had visited with for two days. After a writing workshop that we sat through, students thought that it would be good to move around a bit and play some basketball.

As a kid, I always enjoyed exploring the through the woods. Finding deer tracks, building forts, playing hide and go seek —letting all my child adventures and innovations come true. Most of the time, I would have friends come with me and explore the vast forest that surrounded my house. It was all fun and games until people got hurt.

Moving Away From The Comfort

I flew with numerous types of airways in the past, but this one was different. I knew before hand that Qatar Airways was well known for its service but the first steps through the aisle amazed me. The first thing I noticed even before entering through the doors was the color of the room. There were purple lights that filled the aircraft with a welcoming vibe. Passengers came through the doors and were shown to their seats, most of which were in the economy class section — as was ours.
